Abstract
Los trastornos de ansiedad son los más prevalentes dentro de lo que se consideran alteraciones emocionales y mentales, con unas implicaciones sanitarias y socioeconómicas asociadas relevantes. Se habla de ansiedad clínica cuando se dan altos niveles de ansiedad que interfieren en las actividades de la vida cotidiana. Se ha observado en la literatura científica una importante relación entre la ansiedad, la depresión, el dolor crónico y otros síntomas somáticos generales, justificados por una sensibilización central. Por otro lado, a través de la vía interoceptiva, la relación del sistema fascial con los procesos de ansiedad parece bastante clara ya que, investigaciones recientes, permiten crear conexiones entre la fascia y su disfunción, los procesos interoceptivos, las emociones y los mecanismos alostáticos subyacentes. Esta investigación trata de analizar la eficacia de una técnica de terapia manual dentro de la fisioterapia, como es el abordaje miofascial, en pacientes con ansiedad clínica y estudiar su relación con otros síntomas asociados...
Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent of what are considered emotional and mental disorders, with relevant associated health and socioeconomic implications.
