Abstract
This research examines the relationship between reality and fiction in the history of hybrid practices, and analyzes the mutual capacity of both terms to produce the other. Thus, I will study how reality is the leading producer of fiction, and fiction produces reality, establishing the genre of science fiction as a privileged environment to analyze this conflict. It is a work that seeks technological concepts invented by science fiction and its correlation with the technological and artistic phenomena. This work is inscribed in the myth-making and the so-called nonhistorical practices where fiction is the only way of accession to the real (from Luther Blissett project, to own rhetorical turns of the historical avant-garde until cyberculture, virtual reality, computational art, intangible speech, or transhumanist philosophy). It is developed from the perspective of contemporary art as a hybrid environment, by analyzing the work of artists who reflect on the uses and abuses of technology in the creative process and the art object, and the inclusion of my personal practice work as part of the investigation...
