La presente tesis se centra en las tensiones que suscita el lenguaje inclusivo de género en España y cómo esta disputa influye en la formación de la identidad y en el posicionamiento lingüístico de los hablantes. Desde la glotopolítica podemos ver cómo las decisiones tomadas por el Estado y por las instituciones de la lengua repercuten en el uso que la comunidad hispanohablante hace del idioma. Estas nuevas propuestas han desatado un intenso debate, sobre todo porque cuestionan ciertas convenciones que ya están arraigadas en la sociedad. Por un lado tenemos a la Real Academia Española (RAE) quien está en desacuerdo con la adopción del lenguaje incluyente, porque considera que incurre contra las reglas gramaticales establecidas, por ser innecesario, así como por representar un esencialismo que se superpone al uso espontáneo del español. Por otro lado tenemos a las voces que se alzan a favor de un lenguaje más igualitario, menos invisibilizador y que cuestionan la supremacía normativa que constituye la Academia (RAE).
This thesis focuses on the tensions raised by gender-inclusive language in Spain and how this dispute influences the formation of identity and the linguistic positioning of speakers. From glottopolitics we can see how the decisions made by the State and by the language institutions affect the use that the Spanish-speaking community makes of the language. These new proposals have sparked an intense debate, especially because they question certain conventions that are already ingrained in society. On the one hand we have the Real Academia Española (RAE) who disagrees with the adoption of inclusive language, because it considers that it goes against the established grammatical rules, for being unnecessary, as well as for representing an essentialism that superimposes the spontaneous use of the Spanish. On the other hand, we have the voices that rise in favor of a more egalitarian language and that question the normative supremacy that constitutes the Real Academia Española...
