Abstract
Sports Optometry involves multiple aspects with the aim of preserving and optimizing the visual conditions of athletes, since the visual system becomes the gateway to the most important external information that involves motor and perceptual aspects. From this perspective, there have been several studies that seek scientific support on the importance of vision among athletes and non-athletes. However, there are no known studies involving the visual system in Paralympic sports such as wheelchair rugby, where the dynamic and tactical performance, as well as the challenges posed by the condition of physical disability, require an efficient visual system. Therefore, it is considered important to conduct a research with wheelchair rugby players, in which the main objective is to determine the effectiveness of visual-perceptive training in players of this sport...
