Abstract
En los últimos años las tecnologías 3D han suscitado el interés de diversos sectores debido a las múltiples posibilidades que presentan, permitiendo la apertura de nuevos caminos profesionales y enriqueciendo las técnicas de representación espacial. Este trabajo es una aproximación a la creación de entornos tridimensionales y su visualización a través de diferentes métodos y técnicas englobadas dentro del concepto de geovisualización 3D: modelización, iluminación, renderizado y composición audiovisual. Para llevar a cabo este estudio se ha hecho uso del software de modelado 3D Blender con el que se han elaborado cuatro ejemplos que aportan una muestra de las diferentes tipologías de visualización: recreación del paisaje marciano, recreación de un paisaje natural ficticio con estructura arquitectónica, obtención del modelo en 3D del área del lago Issyk-kul en Kirguistán y una modelización 3D del Sistema Solar complementada con una muestra audiovisual. Este trabajo final de máster pretende poner en valor el papel de los especialistas en Geografía y otras ciencias afines en la creación de modelos o espacios tridimensionales, no solo en el ámbito académico y científico, sino también en cualquier sector que requiera de la creación de entornos, como es el caso del sector audiovisual y de la industria del entretenimiento.
Over the last few years 3D tecnologies have aroused the interest of different sectors due to the multiple possibilities they present, allowing the opening of new professional paths and enriching spatial representation techniques. This dissertation is an approach to the creation of three-dimensional environments and their visualization through different methods and techniques, included within the concept of 3D geovisualization: modeling, lighting, rendering and audiovisual composition. To carry out this study, 3D Blender modeling software has been used. In order to provide an overview of the different types of visualisation four examples have been chosen and elaborated on: recreation of the martian landscape, recreation of a fictional natural landscape with architectural structure, obtaining the 3D model of the Issyk-kul lake area in Kyrgyzstan and a 3D modeling of the Solar System complemented with an audiovisual sample. This final project aims to highlight the role of Geography specialists, as well as other related sciences, in the creation of three-dimensional models or spaces, not only in the academic and scientific field, but also in any sector that requires the creation of environments, as it is the case of in the audiovisual sector and the entertainment industry.
