Han pasado veinte y ocho años desde que se recuperó la Democracia en Chile, y se ha instalado una política para revertir el lamentable desmantelamiento cultural ocurrido en los largos años de dictadura. El Parque Cultural de Valparaíso es parte de una serie de proyectos promovidos por las políticas públicas para el desarrollo cultural en Chile, siendo parte de una red de infraestructuras continuada por todos los gobiernos postdictadura entre los años 1990-2018. Este proyecto en particular abarca algunas dimensiones interesantes, tales como: su carácter regional e histórico, su escala y emplazamiento, su proyecto arquitectónico junto a los usos en estos primeros años. It has been twenty eight years since the recovery of democracy in Chile and a cultural policy to revert the unfortunate dismantling that culture suffered during the long period of the dictatorship has been settled. Parque Cultural de Valparaíso is part of a series of projects that have been promoted by the cultural policies for the development of culture in Chile and this one is part of an infrastructure net that has been continued by every postdictatorship government from 1990 to 2018. This particular project covers some interesting dimensions, such as: its regional and historical nature, its scale and location, and its own architectonic project together with its habitability during these first years.
