Abstract
Introduction In the preceding chapters, we have shown the fundamentals of the process of growth, crisis, and adjustment in its three main dimensions: the accumulation pattern, external insertion, and financial capital. With this chapter, the objective of which is to study the labor market, we begin a second analytical segment that focuses on the effects of prior dynamics on the structure of labor relations, both before and during the recession. Once this question has been considered, Chapter 5 will deal with the outcome of the distributive struggle, thus completing our portrait of what has happened in the Spanish economy.
