Abstract
Este artículo analiza la imagen de la mujer deportista durante los primeros años de la posguerra, desde 1945 hasta la llegada de la televisión (1954), difundida por los noticiarios cinematográficos italianos. Se realiza un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de las noticias en las que aparecen mujeres participando en competiciones deportivas y practicando diferentes deportes. De esta manera se establecen los tipos de deportes con las que normalmente se las relaciona y el modo en el que se las presenta.
The sportswomen’s image during the first post war years is analyzed, from 1945 until the arrival of television (1954) as shown in the Italian cinematographic news reels. A quantitative and qualitative analysis of the news featuring sportswomen is made, and the types of sporties activities which are normally linked to them and they way they are portrayed are established.
