Abstract
he aim of this research is to think about female subjectivity from within the material phenomenology perspective, that is, from the body-flesh, original conditions and experiences. We will focus mainly on the pain inflicted on women’s bodies derived from the experience of normalized situations that constitute their relationship with other subjectivities and the world. Particularly we will discuss sexual initiation, approaching it as original rape, following Simone de Beauvoir’s thought. The starting point is the material phenomenology of Michel Henry, because we are interested in investigating the field of Affectivity, Life and Absolute Subjectivity as well as its manifestation in the sexual body. We intend to base sexual difference from a non-biologist position, non-essentialist and non-discursive. In this respect, we turn to the notion of habitus found in Philosophy and Phenomenology of the body (2007) along with I am the truth: Toward a Philosophy of Christianity (2001). Bourdieu, Ducharme and Ravaisson’s texts will be present as well...
