Abstract
Cuando jugamos a un videojuego, sobre todo en aquellos en los que ejercemos un rol cooperativo, bien sea en línea o en local, el jugador debe escoger un personaje al que manejar. Éste, será tu compañero de aventuras en la experiencia y para ello, debemos sentirnos identificados y tener cierta empatía, ya que pasaremos gran parte de nuestro tiempo usándolo. Así que, nuestra personalidad e identidad están relacionadas con la selección. Los personajes tienen la función de desempeñar roles a través de sus historias y sus habilidades. Los roles son conocidos como arquetipos y están establecidos por la humanidad en un espacio-tiempo y contexto sociocultural. It’ll be your adventure’s friend for the experience and to do so, we must feel identified and have some empathy because we’ll pass a lot of our timeplaying it.
