Abstract
El nacimiento de plataformas audiovisuales encabezado por Netflix ha afectado a las televisiones convencionales tal y como se conocía hasta entonces. Los videoclubs se han visto obligados a cerrar convirtiéndose en una especie en extinción. Twitch comienza a encontrar su hueco en un mercado muy saturado por todos los contenidos que circulan en la red.
Las conclusiones más destacadas del análisis apuntan a que los medios convencionales deberán especializarse en una audiencia anciana, más reacia a las nuevas tecnologías, si no se adaptan a todos los avances que van surgiendo.
El auge de las plataformas audiovisuales vinculado con la crisis sanitaria de la Covid-19 ha favorecido el funcionamiento de estas aplicaciones amenazando a las cadenas tradicionales.
The beginning of the audiovisual platforms led by Netflix has changed the conventional television just like it was known until then. The video-stores have been forced to close turning them into an endangered specie. Twitch starts to find its space in a very overcrowded market due to all contents that spreads on the network. The more outstanding conclusions about the analysis suggest that the conventional media should specialize in an elderly audience, more relucyant to new technology, if they do not adapt to all new advances. The audiovisual platforms’ boom linked with the Covid-19 health crisis has promoted the well working of these apps threatening traditional televised companies.
