Abstract
As the aging population grows, there is a parallel increase of degenerative valvulopathies. In the same way, bioprosthesis implanted years ago may undergo a gradual deterioration over time. Increased risk of reoperation is well known, but today it is the unique option for degenerated bioprosthesis. This situation leads to a crossover of two main issues: on the one side, an increase in aged-patient proportion, and on the other side, the higher risk from reoperation.
