Abstract
En los últimos años el jazz ha sido tomado como objeto de estudio en diferentes campos artísticos como el cine, la pintura, el teatro o la literatura. Sin embargo, este género musical ha quedado relegado a un segundo plano, y son pocos los estudios centrados en su influencia en la producción literaria de autores españoles. Los autores y autoras de la Generación del 27 incluyeron el jazz en su poesía de forma innovadora. El jazz -término que engloba varios tipos de música de origen aforamericano cuya popularidad empezó a crecer en los años XX- aparece como un motivo recurrente en muchos de los poemas del 27, formando parte de grandes temas que van desde reivindicación por la cultura de una minoría hasta la evocación nostálgica en todas sus facetas.
La influencia del jazz en algunos de los autores fue aún más allá creando una comunicación directa entre música y poesía, una unión que no es posible entender sin comprender el contexto y las corrientes estéticas de su tiempo.
In recent years, jazz has been considered an object of study in different artistic fields such as cinema, painting, theater or literature. However, this musical genre has been overshadow and there are only a few studies about its influence in the literary works of Spanish authors. The authors of the generation of '27 included jazz in their poetry in an innovative way. Jazz - a term that includes different kinds of African American music whose popularity began to grow in the twenties - is a recurring motif in many poems of the 27, forming part of large issues, from the claim of the culture of a minority to the nostalgic evocation in all its facets. The influence of jazz on some of these authors went even further by creating a dialog between music and poetry, a union that can not be understood without understanding the context and aesthetic trends of its time.
