Abstract
Este trabajo examina cómo la arteterapia grupal (ATG) y las experiencias culturales (EC) contribuyen al desarrollo de la autonomía personal (AP) y la integración social (IS) de personas con problemas de salud mental, en el contexto de la Asociación Psiquiatría y Vida, en Madrid. El objetivo principal es comprender el impacto combinado de estas intervenciones, explorando cómo las sesiones de ATG y EC promueven la AP, fortalecen la IS y son percibidas por los participantes. La investigación sigue un enfoque cualitativo, con un diseño de caso grupal y una perspectiva fenomenológica que permite capturar las experiencias vividas y los significados atribuidos por los participantes y otros agentes clave.
La recolección de datos incluyó observación participante durante las sesiones de ATG y EC, y entrevistas semiestructuradas a participantes, familiares, profesionales y co-arteterapeutas. Las sesiones de ATG, realizadas semanalmente, se organizaron en fases de encuentro, creación y cierre, generando un espacio seguro para la expresión artística y la conexión emocional. Las EC, estructuradas como visitas a museos y otros espacios artísticos, se complementaron con reflexiones grupales que fomentaron el diálogo y la cohesión.
Los hallazgos muestran avances significativos en la autonomía personal y la integración social de los participantes. A nivel personal, se observó un aumento en la autoconfianza, la capacidad de expresión y el manejo emocional. Socialmente, las actividades facilitaron la construcción de vínculos significativos y la integración en contextos comunitarios. Además, las intervenciones impactaron positivamente en las familias y profesionales, quienes destacaron la creatividad y el apoyo mutuo como factores clave para el éxito.
En conclusión, la combinación de ATG y EC se presenta como una estrategia eficaz en la intervención con personas con problemas de salud mental. Estas actividades no solo potencian el desarrollo personal y social, sino que también fortalecen el tejido comunitario, promoviendo espacios inclusivos y significativos.
