Abstract
The following dissertation has chosen as object of analysis the pantheon dedicated to the pair of actors Matilde Díez and Julián Romea, Spanish theater stars from the second half of the 19th century. Built by Demetrio de los Ríos after their deaths and inaugurated in 1886, it constitutes a reminder of both the importance theater has had in Spain’s cultural history and of the influence that two icons from a nowadays almost forgotten field once had over the society of their time. This document has aimed to analyze the history, iconography, estile and characteristics of this monument, considering its location and conservation state, in order to later develop an intervention proposal according to the current conservation and restoration criteria with which to, along with a preventive conservation plan, restate the cultural value of not only the pantheon, but of the people it was built for as well.
