Abstract
En este artículo se analiza el pensamiento liberal progresista para determinar su contribución al establecimiento de un gobierno representativo entre 1834 y 1890. Para ello he seleccionado el pensamiento de cuatro políticos progresistas —Joaquín María López, Salustiano de Olózaga, Manuel Ruiz Zorrilla y Práxedes Mateo Sagasta—, analizando los fundamentos de sus planteamientos políticos, la articulación constitucional y su puesta en práctica.
In this paper, the progressive liberal thought is analyzed to determine the contribution to the establishment of a representative government since 1834 to 1890. I have selected the thought of four progressive politicians —Joaquín María López, Salustiano of Olózaga, Manuel Ruiz Zorrilla and Práxedes Mateo Sagasta— analyzing the foundations of their political positions, the constitutional articulation and their setting in practice.
