Una revisión de la eficacia terapéutica

Abstract

La eficacia terapéutica es uno de los fundamentos en que se basa cualquiera de los sistemas médicos o tratamientos dirigidos a la curación/sanación; con una intención relacionada con la sanación o con la curación según las teorías de aflicción de cada sistema médico. La distinción entre diferentes tipos de efectos (específicos, nocebos y placebos) está muy centrada en la perspectiva biomédica, aunque hoy en día es cuestionada por las interacciones biopsicosociales. Revisar la eficacia permite la valoración de todos estos efectos de la acción terapéutica, así como entender el funcionamiento de otras terapias.Therapeutic efficacy is one of the foundations on which any of the medical systems or curing/healing treatments are based. These may be intended for healing or curing according to the affliction theories of each medical system. The distinction between different types of effects (specific, nocebos and placebos) is very much centred on the biomedical perspective, although it is nowadays questioned by the interactions between biopsychosocial dimensions. The review of efficacy allows the assessment of all these effects of the therapeutic action, as well as understanding the functioning of other therapies.
