Abstract
En el giro antropológico que comenzó a dar la disciplina de la historia del arte en las últimas décadas del siglo XX, el nombre de Maurice Blanchot no ha obtenido su pleno reconocimiento. Sin embargo, la noción de imagen que desarrolló en torno a la literatura, ha tocado de lleno en las reflexiones de historiadores como Hubert Damisch, Hans Belting o Georges Didi-Huberman. Si con ello se superaba el tópico de la primacía de lo verbal sobre lo visual, aún es necesario profundizar en esta aportación subterránea de Blanchot a la historia del arte.
In the anthropological turn that the discipline of art history began to take in the last decades of the twentieth century, the name of Maurice Blanchot has not been fully recognised. However, the notion of the image, which he developed around literature, has played a key role in the reflections of historians such as Hubert Damisch, Hans Belting and Georges Didi-Huberman. If this overcame the cliché of the primacy of the verbal over the visual, Blanchot's subterranean contribution to the history of art still needs to be explored in greater depth.
