Abstract
Este trabajo analiza cómo las bandas contemporáneas de indie rock madrileño, a través de letras marcadas por el nihilismo y la idea del “no futuro”, construyen un retrato generacional de jóvenes que enfrentan barreras estructurales para su emancipación. A partir de entrevistas cualitativas con los músicos referentes de la actual escena musical independiente en Madrid 一Biznaga, Parquesvr, Alcalá Norte y La Milagrosa一, se exploran los vínculos entre música, desencanto político, nihilismo y consumo de drogas como parte de un comportamiento de prolongación de la juventud derivada de una obstaculización para transitar hacia la vida adulta.
This paper analyzes how contemporary Madrid indie rock bands, through lyrics marked by nihilism and the idea of “no future”, construct a generational portrait of young people facing structural barriers to their emancipation. Based on qualitative interviews with the referent musicians of the current independent music scene in Madrid 一Biznaga, Parquesvr, Alcalá Norte and La Milagrosa一, the links between music, political disenchantment, nihilism and drug consumption are explored as part of a behavior of prolongation of youth derived from an obstacle to transit towards adulthood.
