Abstract
The process of creating most applications is usually costly, wasting a lot of time in tasks that, despite being very common, the vast majority of languages or tools do not facilitate their implementation. In addition, there are many factors to be taken into account, such as security or the subsequent support of the application, which require the existence of a team with a multitude of profiles. However, customer relationship management (CRM) systems are rarely thought of as a valid solution to this problem, despite the fact that they provide a rapid digital transformation of business through bots, automations and the inclusion of highly innovative tools in the sector such as, for example, tableau (Business Intelligence) or blockchain (Data Mining). The main objective of the present project is to adapt the CRM concept, more specifically Salesforce CRM, to a university internship management application, being able to be a substitute for the manager used by UCM. The reason for this adaptation is due to the fact that there are concepts and procedures in the business models that are very similar to what would be a standard process of internship management in companies, so in this project we have reused processes implicit in Salesforce itself and customized others that are further away from the ultimate goal of a CRM. To meet the above objective, a web application has been implemented that allows both a student and a company to access Salesforce without needing to know anything about CRM. At the same time, it also allows the internship coordinator to manage all the processes related to internship management more easily. Among the functionalities that have been implemented are the signing of contracts, the issuing of official documents and job alerts.
