Abstract
From the end of 2020, Flash content will no longer be accessible through the web. It has taken a whole decade to reach this moment that marks a milestone in the history of design: it is the definitive farewell to a fundamental tool in the development of the web, which greatly influenced different areas of digital creation. We present the results of a research aimed at finding out whether Nielsen’s statement “Flash: 99% bad” has had an impact on the appraisal of memories and to analyse to what extent Flash will go down in history remembered in positive or negative terms.
