Características materiales del libro romántico español (1830-1865)

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta dos aspectos claramente diferenciados. El primero es la recopilación de toda la información posible acerca de las características materiales del libro romántico español localizada en la bibliografía especializada en esta cuestión. El segundo, la búsqueda y descripción de una serie de libros -en particular aquellos impresos en Madrid entre 1830 y 1865- y localizados en varias bibliotecas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y en la Biblioteca Nacional de España. Se ha intentado comprobar si las características materiales de los ejemplares examinados en este trabajo corroboran o no los aspectos comentados por las autoridades consultadas.This paper presents two distinct aspects. The first one is the collection of all possible information about the material characteristics of the Spanish romantic book located in the specialized literature on this issue. The second one is the search and description of a series of books -particularly those printed in Madrid between 1830 and 1865- and located in various libraries of the Complutense University of Madrid and the National Library of Spain. An attempt was made to check whether the material characteristics of the specimens examined in this study corroborate or not the matters discussed by the authorities consulted.
