Abstract
The analysis of the periodical that will be developed below shows, from a documentary-photographic point of view, how the complete recovery of the contents of a magazine allows to approach the complete context to the photographs, object of the work in this case, as well as to create a useful tool for research, dissemination and reuse of the materials that were used in the magazine. The definition of this work has focused on the selection of a periodical with photographs that could show the image of women at the time of its creation. This serves as a basis for future analysis of other publications related to women and a series of research on this figure throughout the history of publications. For this work, sources such as the Digital Newspaper Library of the National Library of Spain or scientific articles on the figure of women in the society of the time have been used. Periodicals are a source of information for the analysis of photography because they provide a vision of society and history from different points that will be addressed in the section "Use of photography in the magazine", where the use of photography in the fields of sociology or documentation, among others, will be highlighted. The fact that has led to the realization of this type of work has been the need to give women the recognition they deserve. Under this idea arises the hypothesis that women are treated from an egalitarian point of view in this publication, showing their occupations and achievements as well as giving voice to those ideas that were beginning to emerge at the time.
