Abstract
Las escuelas son espacios de socialización donde se han venido construyendo y reproduciendo diferencias y discriminaciones de género. Sus agentes, normas, dinámicas, prácticas y materiales aún hoy juegan un papel significativo en la reproducción de estereotipos, pero también pueden contribuir a desafiar y transformar las sociedades. Desde organizaciones internacionales como la UNESCO o la Unión Europea hasta organismos nacionales, autonómicos o asociaciones, se han propuesto objetivos y medidas en favor de la igualdad de género que buscan implementar la coeducación en todas las etapas educativas. Necesitamos contar con un sistema educativo que prepare al alumnado para sociedades diversas y cambiantes, rompa estereotipos y ofrezca oportunidades de acceso y participación equitativas a todas las personas, al margen de sus características particulares; y el profesorado juega un papel fundamental en esta transformación...

Their agents, norms, dynamics, practices, and materials still play a significant role in the reproduction of stereotypes, but they can also contribute to challenging and transforming societies. From international organizations such as UNESCO or the European Union to national, regional or association bodies, objectives, and measures in favor of gender equality have been proposed that seek to implement co-education in all educational stages. We need an education system that prepares students for diverse and changing societies, breaks down stereotypes, and offers equal access and participation opportunities to all people, regardless of their particular characteristics; and teachers play a fundamental role in this transformation...
